• 民國五十四年（1965年）秋於今之國立金門高級農工職業學校校址所建的金湖初級職業學校

• 民國五十五年（1966年）校名即改為「金湖初級中學」

• 民國五十七年（1968年）中華民國全境實行九年國教後改為今名

• 民國六十三年（1974年）奉令與金湖國小、幼稚園合併以實驗九年一貫制國民義務教育，

       於金湖國小現址改組為「金湖國民中小學實驗學校」

• 民國六十六年（1977年）7月實驗期滿後校名去掉「實驗學校」四字

• 民國八十二年（1993年）7月國中部經金門縣政府核定獨立

• 民國八十七年（1998年）2月遷入今校址

Kinmen County Jin-Hu Junior High School

The establishment of our school can be traced back to when President Chiang Kai-shek instructed to "implement extended compulsory education trials" in Kinmen.

• Fall of 1965: Jin-Hu Junior Vocational School was established at what is now the location of National Kinmen Senior Agricultural-Industrial Vocational School
• 1966: The school name was changed to "Jin-Hu Junior High School"
• 1968: Following the implementation of nine-year compulsory education, the school was renamed to its current name
• 1974: By government order, the school merged with Jin-Hu Elementary School and Kindergarten to experiment with a nine-year integrated compulsory education system, and was reorganized as "Jin-Hu Elementary and Junior High Experimental School" at the current Jin-Hu Elementary School site
• July 1977: After the experimental period ended, the words "Experimental School" were removed from the school name
• July 1993: The junior high school division was approved by the Kinmen County Government to become independent
• February 1998: Relocated to the current campus
